Hi, I'm Sasha Larson
Therapist in Tampa, Florida
(She/her)
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida (MH#21851). I started Plum Therapy and Wellness to create a healing space focused on compassionate, quality mental health care. I earned my Masters and Specialist degrees in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida. I also completed my Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. (Go Gators!) I have been in practice for over five years. Throughout my clinical experience, I've worked with clients in the UF Health Psychology clinic, UF Psychiatric Hospital, and group private practice setting.
I feel so grateful that I am able to do something that I love! I really enjoy working with teens, college students, young professionals, and adults. I am also passionate about working with clients that are queer/ LGBTQIA+ and/or BIPOC.

Therapy with Me
Are you struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, and perfectionism? Does it feel like no matter what you do, somehow you still don’t feel like you’re doing enough? You have really high (sometimes unattainable) standards for yourself, and you have a tough inner critic that isn’t very understanding that you’re just a human. From the outside, it looks like you have it all together, but on the inside, you feel so overwhelmed, stressed, and you’re barely hanging on. You realize you need support, you need change, and you can't keep living life like this. If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
I specialize in supporting high-achieving teens & adults who struggle with anxiety and self-criticism to learn to be kinder to themselves, feel more grounded, and create balance within their lives. Together, we will explore the patterns that keep you stuck, learn tools to manage your stress and anxiety, and create confidence within yourself. You deserve to live a present, fulfilling life that isn't weighed down by stress and anxiety. In therapy, you can finally slow down, get the support you've always needed, and learn how to provide that same care to yourself. If you're ready to make a change, give me a call and let's set up your first session. I'd love to hear from you!
My sessions are $150 for 45-50 minutes. I'm not in network with any insurances, but I can provide you with a superbill to submit for potential out of network reimbursement if your plan covers that.

My Approach
My approach is integrative and tailored to each of my clients. Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all; we are all different people with unique experiences, personalities, and identities, so therapy should reflect that. I draw from a range of evidence-based techniques that are person-centered, trauma-informed, and cognitive-behavioral (CBT). For more specialized treatment, I also offer EMDR to help people heal from painful/traumatic experiences and ERP for people struggling with OCD. No matter what you're struggling with, my hope is to help you feel empowered, create positive change, and move towards a more whole, balanced life.
